Build Your Own Digital Product Business

If you go to a party and you know 10% more about a specific topic than anyone else at the party, THAT makes you the expert in the room.

It doesn’t matter if it’s gardening, fixing a car, do-it-yourself projects, baking, drawing, organizing a house, building storage shelves or how to bench press 300 pounds. Your experience in that niche makes you the expert.

That’s exactly why you’re fully qualified to create your own digital product, as an expert in the niche, and build your online business today!

The niche is pretty much irrelevant, as long as there’s a good group of people somewhere in the world that could benefit from your expertise and you know a good deal about that niche, you can cash in on it.

You CAN reach your niche specific audience world wide and there’s a million ways to do it from your laptop.

Besides, once you make your first digital product, you move on to your second then you rinse and repeat!

Don’t believe me?

Chicken coop plans are a 5 figure income for one affiliate that I know personally and he didn’t write the guide for it. He just promotes it. Imagine if that was his digital product

Here’s the 5 benefits of running a Digital Product Business:

1. Little Overhead

With a digital product you have few overhead expenses. You might have initial expenses while you’re developing your product but from that point on you can sell as many copies as you like with no need to pay for cost of manufacture or delivery.

I did an experiment with a brick and mortar mattress shop for 2 years. Dealing with cost of inventory almost drove me mental. That was the biggest reason I shifted back to 100% focus on digital products in 2015.

2. It’s Mostly Passive Income

If you create a digital product like building websites then “no overhead” isn’t an big deal. But, where a service based business like web design falls down is that you’re exchanging time for money. You need to be available to your clients, you have deadlines, work hours… You have a J.O.B.

If you are selling digital products, once you set up your funnel and get your traffic in place, it can be very hands off, passive income.

3. No Stock

With a digital product you require zero physical space for stock and that means you don’t need to rent a storefront or fill it with inventory.

This goes back to my storefront experiment at Carolina Bedding Etown.

Although I loved having a store, and really enjoyed the interaction with the community, having a profitable store front was nice, but humping mattresses off a delivery truck every week sucked. Then finding a place to fit all that inventory was a headache.

Just because it WAS a profitable business, didn’t mean it was worth that much of my time to run business when I could make so much more working less hours selling digital products 24 hours a day.

4. Little Investment

With little overhead, there’s very little investment necessary.

A few bucks in upfront investment means a much faster tipping point and you start generating profit quickly.

This also means that there’s very little risk when compared to starting a physical business so you’ll be able to start your digital business with little to no debt.

5. No Cost Of Delivery

As if the first 4 reasons were not attractive enough, digital products don’t have a measurable cost of delivery. It costs a fraction of a cent to deliver a digital product electronically. No shipping, no delivery person… Provide a download link and done son!
