On last night’s webinar there were a few questions about tracking with prepop pages. It is a little tricky but I put together an example of how to do it along with a downloadable package with all the example php code.

http://www.ppv123.com/php/prepop/prepop.zip

There’s instructions on how to use it in the .zip as well but I’ll go over it briefly here as well.

With this example you pass through your keyword/url to the “sub” query string variable. This form saves it in a session and presents the user your landing page. Once the user enters their email address and submits the form, the php builds the rest of the affiliate link with the subid and email address included and forwards the user to the prepopped page.

I tried to make this as easy as possible. This example uses a market leverage home depot offer and ML’s email variable is conveniently named “email”. Change this in the top of the PHP if your network uses a different email variable name.

Here’s a working example of the code included in the download prepop.zip

Hope this helps you guys. Let me know if you have any questions.

Wordze + AffPortal Single Sign On

Posted by: Corey | Comments (0)

Today a deal was reached between Wordze, the KING of keywords and AffPortal (uh, me) to activate the single sign on for our respective membership bases.

This is something that I had wanted since early fall and when Bradley, the new owner of Wordze contacted me two weeks ago, the wheels started turning. So as of today, all current AffPortal.com members have full access to not only LandingPageClassroom but Wordze as well.

We are very happy to have a partnership with both of these awesome websites and the AffPortal community thanks you. I hope your members get a lot our of our tools as well.

Coulton_Code_MonkeyLike a good code monkey, I have been busy coding away at a single sign on feature to allow membership sites like AffPortal to share members across their secure areas.

In non geek speak, this means AffPortal.com members now have access to Landing Page Classroom.com as part of their single membership to AffPortal.

To use this feature, simply login to AffPortal as you normally would and in the navigation bar you will see “Partner Sites”. This is a list of other membership sites that we have an agreement with to share members through single sign on.

Currently there is one site we have partnered with. If all else goes smoothly, Wordze will be added to that list very soon with the same single sign on.

This is a game changer for niche membership sites. Correct me if I am mistaken but I know of no other continuity based internet marketing websites that are sharing functionality like this with their membership base.

Coding this was a little challenging b/c AffPortal.com is coded in ASP.Net and LandingPageClassroom.com is written in PHP using the aMember software package.

Landing Page Classroom members will SOON be able to single sign on to AffPortal.com once Andrew get’s the script in place.

I hope I didn’t scoop him on the announcement, but hey, I’m the one that coded it :-b

Rock out with your monkey out…

Two New User Requested PPV Tools Added

Posted by: Corey | Comments (0)

One member out at PPV Formula (also an AP member) and one AffPortal member requested two tools that coded up last night and added as a Beta to the PPV tools area.

  1. Site Extractor – This is a URL Scraper tool that pulls all urls for a given domain from the google index when supplied with a batch of unique domain urls
  2. URL Shrink – kind of does the opposite of the Site Extractor PPV tools,  in that when you give it a list of URLs, it pulls the DISTINCT domains from the scraped URL list. This tool also allows you to truncate very long urls to a max of 40 characters as required by Media Traffic.

So go beat on these new PPV tools a little and let me know what you think. If you are able to break them let me know how to recreate your actions.

Any additional info you supply to me about these PPV tools the better they will become.

Go get some!

PPV SMART URL Scraper out of Beta

Posted by: Corey | Comments (2)

After about two weeks of Beta testing, tweaking and running this SMART URL scraper by the PPV junkies it’s done with Beta and ready to build out your URL lists.

With some additional tweaks for speed and accuracy this is about the best this tool is going to get. So if you have an offer and you’re too lazy to even think up the keywords to start with and need some help this is the tool for you.

Put in your offer root url, it scans over your site and comes up with what it thinks your site is all about. Then it returns the top traffic terms for that niche and gathers your URLs in one swift click of the button. No other URL scraper is easier to use.

Here’s a demo:

If your offer root has zero actual content or is flash based, it won’t be able to figure it out so don’t ask…
