Holy Grail of PPV Tracking
Posted by: | CommentsIf you have run PPV traffic in the past you know that it’s a bear to track accurately and reliably. For two years now I have been trying to find a tracking solution for PPV and finally started writing my own code named AffTracks.
While AffTracks was a good interim solution, it is far from complete and this is a GOOD thing. The reason is there’s a game changer that has just been released and it’s name is CPV Lab.
CPV Lab is a dedicated PPV tracking solution and is pure gold. Designed from the ground up by a big time online marketer Robert Matthew, CPV Lab will change PPV marketing.
How?
CPV Lab is the most flexible tracker on the market today. It literally blows the doors wide open on how you can approach Pay Per View campaigns. If you do PPV, you need CPV Lab.
Watch the tour video as Robert takes you through all the features of this powerful software.
Here’s a small list of what it does:
Split test an unlimited number of landers
Rotate offers on a landing page
Rotate offers on rotated landing pages
Track through a multi page landing page sequence w/o a hitch
Track through an email squeeze campaign
Rotate direct linking vs landing pages
Build a SELF OPTIMIZING split test campaign where the software will AUTOMATICALLY send more traffic on the fly to the converting lp/offer combination (needs tracking pixels)
There’s future updates that include dedicated PPC tracking, media buys, pay per call and more.
Robert has even used a version of his software to track direct mail campaigns. He is a self proclaimed “Analytics Geek” and he’s looking for more ideas to add to CPV Lab from his new customers. So if this software currently doesn’t do what you need it to, email him directly with your new technique that you need tracking for. Chances are, he’s tried it or if he hasn’t he’ll get it coded up quickly.
You know I don’t constantly pound you with promotions. I wouldn’t mail you if I wasn’t using it myself.
Simply put, CPV Lab is the real deal guys.
Lately I have been experimenting with interactive flash components to use on PPV landing pages. These little flash components have doubled and sometimes tripled my campaign click throughs and as you know, the more eyes that get to the offer, the more conversions usually follow.
Robert has a great video explaining exactly what CPV Lab does and why this is a game changer for the PPV marketer. Check out CPV Lab now and if you decide to buy send me your receipt and I’ll shoot you a voucher for my custom AffPortal PPV Flash Pack of landing page components guaranteed to boost your CTR. This bonus is available 30 days from your initial purchase (after 30 day guarantee) so go check out CPV Lab and get a REAL CPV Tracking Solution.
PopThis! PPV Page Builder Update
Posted by: | Comments
I rolled out a new, revamped and ajaxIFIED version of the PopThis! PPV page builder and it’s super sweet. The feedback has been really good on it. The original was nice and you could build your pops very fast BUT it was undoubtedly a work in progress. The component and content fields were all above the fold and the preview was down below so you needed to scroll down to get to see your changes.
So now, as you can see from the screen shot, the content and properties fields have all been organized into an Ajax tab control, shrunken down to fit and the preview window is above the fold.
Version 1 was cheese wiz, Version 2 is cheddah… I built out about 5 LPs to split test for my new campaign this morning and it took me about 5 minutes. The reason PopThis! is so fast is that it utilizes network creatives. You choose your creatives FIRST and build the page AROUND the creative.
So go check it out and let me know if you want anything specific added as I’m still building it out next week.

PPV keyword lists easy as 1-2-3
Posted by: | CommentsI’ve been working on updates recently to the AffPortal User Interface that are pretty sweet. I added a keyword basket that can help shuffle your keyword URLs from tool to tool so you can E X P A N D your url list SERIOUSLY fast.
I suggest the following course of action for your list erection:
1. Open the Deep and Wide keyword tool and grab an initial list of about 10 wide keywords
2. Export them to the Batch URL Scraper and scrape two pages deep using the replace periods options and download your initial URL list to a spreadsheet
3. Check off the top 20 keywords and click “Send Clicked to Site Extractor” to gather other indexed pages for each of these 20 domain names. Download the list and add it to your spreadsheet
4. Click your browser back button to back up to the Batch URL Scraper results and “Send Checked to URL Chopper”. Submit, download and copy to your spreadsheet.
5. Click your browser back button to back up to the Batch URL Scraper results and then “Send checked to URL Shrink”. Submit, download and copy to your spreadsheet.
You will wind up with an insane list in the thousands easily of URLs and with a ton of variations and portions of each.
NOTE: not all URLs and chopped keywords will bring traffic but test the list and see what DOES get traffic based on the PPV traffic source you are using. Different sources match your keywords different ways. Just like PPC they can use Broad, Phrase or Exact and sometimes, if you know your manager real well, they can set your account up with any of these options.
The key here is volume. The faster you launch with enormous lists, the more winners you will find. It’s just a matter of time and a little bit of cash. Soon you will find the winners converting on the oddest combinations of URLs and keywords and you will find yourself in the BLACK.
Go get yourself some keywords…
Compete.com, Alexa and Quantcast Data update
Posted by: | CommentsThe last two days I have been upgrading my databases to separate out the quantcast and alexa data. I also added in a table with the top 15,000 websites according to Compete.com. This data is very expensive but well worth it to add it to the database.
You will see the changes in the Alexa, Quantcast and Compete.com URL Database.
Also updated the regular URL scraper to include Alexa and Quantcast data for each URL returned and sorted by Alexa ranking. Sweeeeet.
There is seriously more to come as these requests keep pouring in and we have a course on PPV in the works. David from PPV Playbook and I are working with Mark Roth on something very nice for your PPV greenhorns to get you up to speed quickly.
Landing Page Classroom + AffPortal Single Sign On
Posted by: | Comments
Like a good code monkey, I have been busy coding away at a single sign on feature to allow membership sites like AffPortal to share members across their secure areas.
In non geek speak, this means AffPortal.com members now have access to Landing Page Classroom.com as part of their single membership to AffPortal.
To use this feature, simply login to AffPortal as you normally would and in the navigation bar you will see “Partner Sites”. This is a list of other membership sites that we have an agreement with to share members through single sign on.
Currently there is one site we have partnered with. If all else goes smoothly, Wordze will be added to that list very soon with the same single sign on.
This is a game changer for niche membership sites. Correct me if I am mistaken but I know of no other continuity based internet marketing websites that are sharing functionality like this with their membership base.
Coding this was a little challenging b/c AffPortal.com is coded in ASP.Net and LandingPageClassroom.com is written in PHP using the aMember software package.
Landing Page Classroom members will SOON be able to single sign on to AffPortal.com once Andrew get’s the script in place.
I hope I didn’t scoop him on the announcement, but hey, I’m the one that coded it :-b
Rock out with your monkey out…
