After watching the CashTactics.net video CS 1.1 on network signups and competition research I wanted to record the main take away points.

Competition Research

- Used for seeing if an offer is worth promoting.

1. Google.com the seed keyword terms – look for affiliates promoting the offer on the search network. If yes, good sign that it’s a profitable offer to run. Next, look for it on the content network.
2. AssociatedContent.com or EzineArticles.com – search seed kw terms. Look through their adsense ads for the offer being promoted by affiliates. If yes, good sign it’s profitable. Also look through articles for bum marketers promoting the offer.
3. Trends.Google.com – search offer seed kw terms. Seperate terms by comma so they show on same graph. Compare to “male yeast infection” which get’s appx 500 searches per day. Look for upward trend and volume above that of “male yeast infection”.
4. Google adwords kw tool – check out advertiser competition column. Look for high competition terms. This indicates a large market. With large marketes comes big potential AND gaps in the marketing that you may be able to exploit for your own campaigns.
