I decided to move the blog to a shared linux server. The original blog was sitting on my dedicated IIS server running Windows 2008 Server with PHP enabled. YUK! What a pain in the ass it was to get working correctly and since it doesn’t have all the features that linux has, not all features of my blog worked the way they should.

So here we are. I moved all posts, installed the Flexx theme and plugged in Jeff Johnson’s “Traffic Getting SEO Plugin” for wordpress. I’m pretty stoked on it as it automatically installed about 20 different plugins and optimized my site with like 70 something settings.

So now the blog is AffPortal.net and the tools are on AffPortal.com like always. One plugin I had to include is QUICK PAGE / POST REDIRECT so I could redirect the links in the header to go to the tools site and the login screen. I’m still tweaking the flow.

Recently, I have been reading quite a bit Jeff Johnson’s product. In the Underground Traffic blah blah blah there’s some info in there that is very basic but I didn’t have to go too deep to find some interesting tweaks and techniques for getting natural traffic.
